This innocuous single by the London band couldn’t be more simple. It’s lively, upbeat British indie pop in the late-‘80s/early-‘90s tradition, with that hint of sadness that makes such music so endearing. Singer/guitarist Roxanne Clifford sings straightforward but affecting lyrics about two misfits finding each other, and when you have an accompanying hook like this gorgeous little two and a half-minute song has, that’s all you need. It’s one of those songs that doesn’t require over-analysis. Just listen and get swept away.
